Tohoca’s Writers
Tom Lombardo

Tom is an engineer, instructional designer, professor emeritus, author, and armchair philosopher. After a stint in the machine tool industry, he found his true calling in higher education, where he served as a professor of engineering technology for three decades. Having retired from the classroom, Tom now spends his professional time as a freelance writer and editor. His work appears on Engineering.com, where his 370+ articles and two ebooks have been viewed more than five million times. Tom is also a writer and editor for Charged Electric Vehicles Magazine, and he provides technical writing services and training materials for various companies. Check out Tom’s interview on EEWeb.
Tom’s writing interests include science (especially astronomy), technology, engineering, energy management, electric vehicles, sustainable energy, philosophy, psychology, education, music, and lifelong learning. Oh … and craft beer. (Just thought I’d toss that out there in case any microbreweries need some writing done.)
Tom has undergraduate degrees in electronic engineering technology, a master’s in computer science, and a doctorate in education.
